Anuja ,a yoga instructor at Anahatha am a fairly active mother of 2 beautiful kids- Ayesha 11 and Agastya 7. I love taking them for hikes, long walks and my community yoga classes at the pier. My yoga journey started at the age of 17 with my mother who is yoga lover. She is one who inspired me into yoga for over all wellness.
I have completed 200 hours of Hatha Yoga teacher training course and 300 hours of advanced Hatha Yoga teacher training with the International Yoga Academy. I am also an active member of Andiappan yoga community a non-profit, a volunteer-run organization whose mission is to share Yoga with those who may not be able to afford Yoga classes or those with special needs.
Yoga has helped me maintain calm and balance in an otherwise very hectic and fast-paced life in a big city like Hong Kong. I believe yoga strengthens, it centers and makes you stretch your abilities. It is food for both body and soul and I truly believe that it is something that can help anyone that goes into it with an open mind.
To see anuja seamlessly flow from one asana to another is a kind of meditation that brings calmness to ones mind. Making the most difficult asanas feel like a breeze, it shall be a privilege to attend any of her sessions. But till then if one wishes to bring calmness , stability and relaxation to the mind, one has to see her doing what is passionate about – Yoga!
